All-Natural DIY Drano Easy To Make
- Discard 1 cup of baking soda in a clogged toilet filled with standing water. Sink to the bottom.
- If you don’t have enough water in the toilet, add 1 gallon of hot water to get things really working.
- Then slowly add 2 cups of vinegar. Do not spill on the floor. Good!
- Leave it for a few hours and see if the water is drained. If not, leave overnight, plunge if necessary, then wash.
Let’s Do It Together
Baking Soda
Pour 1 cup (240 mL) of baking soda into the clogged toilet. Weigh baking soda with a measuring cup or scoop and discard in a toilet bowl. Sit on the bottom of the sitting water to calm down.
Baking soda has many household cleaning uses, so it’s a good idea to keep it at your local supermarket!
Water
So add 1 gallon of boiling water & check for a clogged toilet. (3.8 L) of boiling water in a kettle and carefully pour it into the toilet bowl. Please do not do this if the toilet bowl is already high.
The heat and pressure of the water quickly clears the clogging of the toilet. When I heard the breathing sound and saw the water flowing out, gravity and hot water cleared the toilet blockage. Flash to see if it works.
Vinegar
If still clogged, pour 2 cups (470 mL) of white vinegar into the toilet. Pour carefully and pay close attention to the reaction between vinegar and baking soda so that it does not foam on the toilet bowl.
Stop pouring, if the fizz becomes too high wait for the fizz to subside and continue to pour until the vinegar is all in the toilet bowl.
The “volcanic” reaction between baking soda and vinegar clears the toilet clogging, but be very careful not to erupt over the entire toilet floor.
Let the mixture sit for at least 2 hours
Let the mixture stand for at least 2 hours or overnight until the water is gone. Check the toilet after 2 hours and wash it when the sitting water drains. If it still looks clogged, leave the mixture overnight before flushing.
If the toilet does not clear for the first time, repeat this process.
My Test Results of Natural DIY Drano
Tonight I threw a DIY Drano and left it for a few hours. When I returned, the standing water was gone and the toilet was flushed immediately!
However, the first time I used this natural DIY drano recipe, I had to leave the formulation in the toilet overnight. After a good plunge it started working a little better.
I used DIY Drano again but after a few hours the toilet was completely unclogged.
According to my research, this seems to be safe and effective to use in kitchen or bathroom sinks and drains. One of the tips I read was to hold something over the drain opening and let the fizz hang it down instead of going up and down. Obviously I didn’t do this in the toilet!

9 Best Ways to Unclog a Toilet without Baking Soda
Bleach
One of the first things to try is to put bleach in the toilet, wait 3 hours, then rinse.
Hot water
This method is the same as the previous method, but do not use it more than three times in a row.
Put 33 ounces in a bucket. Hot water (can be boiled in the shower, bathtub, stove).
Pour all water directly into the toilet and wait 5 minutes. After this time, flush the toilet so that it can release all that is filled.
